We’ve waited more than a year to learn more about Otsuichi’s intriguing horror sci-fi anime, Exception, which was teased at Geeked Week in 2021. The anime will debut on Netflix in October 2022, according to information that was made available by Netflix during Geeked Week 2022. Here is what we currently know about the Exception releasing date.
A forthcoming Japanese Netflix Original animated horror science fiction series called Exception was conceived by Otsuichi, the bestselling author of the novels Goth and ZOO.
Most notably, Yoshitaka Amano, the renowned Japanese artist responsible for the exquisite artwork of the Final Fantasy series, created the characters for Exception. In addition to his work on Japanese media, Amano worked with Neil Gaiman on Sandman: The Dream Hunters, for which he was honoured with a Bram Stoker Award.
The 2021 Geeked Week event hosted by Netflix featured the announcement of the upcoming anime horror film Exception.

When is Exception coming to Netflix?
Thanks to the release of the trailer we can now confirm that the first season of Exception will arrive on Thursday, October 13th, 2022.
